* Submission/Surrendering Post by a Friend *

"It is easier to serve or work for God without a vision and without a call, because then you are not bothered by what He requires" - Oswald Chambers

Am I still playing it safe and only obeying the Spirit when it is convenient for me, or have I truly committed to living in submission to Christ even when it doesn't make sense? Father, help me to wholly surrender to your calling!

* Be Filled with Plutonium *

 All believers are to live all of life intoxicated by the unquenched, high-octane, jet fuel of the Holy Spirit. Only when under the influence of the power of the Spirit will we be able to turn from unwise patterns of living; as the light of the gospel flights into every corner of our hearts.

* 2 Corinthians 6:2 *

"For he says, 'In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.' [Isaiah 49:8] I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation."

~2 Corinthians 6:2~

Ministers of the gospel should look upon themselves as God's servants, and act in every thing suitably to that character.

The apostle did so, by much patience in afflictions, by acting from good principles, and by due temper and behaviour. Believers, in this world, need the grace of God, to arm them against temptations, so as to bear the good report of men without pride; and so as to bear their reproaches with patience. They have nothing in themselves, but possess all things in Christ. Of such differences is a Christian's life made up, and through such a variety of conditions and reports, is our way to heaven; and we should be careful in all things to approve ourselves to God. The gospel, when faithfully preached, and fully received, betters the condition even of the poorest. They save what before they riotously spent, and diligently employ their time to useful purposes. They save and gain by religion, and thus are made rich, both for the world to come and for this, when compared with their sinful, profligate state, before they received the gospel.

* Grace: Q&A (Religion Saves) - Mark Driscoll *

Grace: Q&A (Religion Saves) - Mark Driscoll

Mars Hill Church (2008) - Pastor Mark Driscoll answers a very personal question, 'Of all the things you teach, what parts of Christianity do you still wrestle with? What's hardest for you to believe?' and his answer is simple (or complex): grace. This videos is part of Driscoll's 'Religion Saves" series.

*5 Things I’ve Learned By Being A Dad (For Two Weeks)*

2) Like most people I have a tendency to have good bible reading time in the morning (with a great cup of black coffee of course) & then once I leave that time feel like I am leaving what I learned or read. But with a baby, I’m learning to lean on the Spirit every second of every day. Tiredness, emotions, etc cause me to be in absolute surrender on the Spirit present in that very moment. He has strength for us, He just asks us to lean in harder.http://jeffbethke.com/5-things-ive-learned-by-being-a-dad-for-two-weeks

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers” (Ephesians 4:29).
