* Reap the Harvest *
Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” (Matthew 9:37, 38 ESV)

* Be Still *
So, instead of getting frantic, trying this or that…simply, stand back, and trust Him to show you what He’s got!!
He says, “Be still and know that I am God…” – Psalm 46:10

A Special Morning
KJ was playing with me in the morning
I opened the door and said BOO and he laughed
Kids walking in - full of joy
HC hands me something she drew me
AE hands me a coloring sheet
AE bows and says konichiwa
KM says chesht
I told you all that if you get on flower or above, you will get to a take a planter and soil home and plant a flower in the pot so you can grow it and plant it outside once the seeds sprout
Mrs. Ware came in and gave me a hug this morning and said my card made her day. She called her sister and told her, "Listen to what card I got."
I told her, "I appreciate you," and she said, "No, I appreciate YOU," and she pointed at me.
That made my day and it has barely even started yet.

* Non-judgment *
"Do not judge people by the scriptures of their faith or the scars from their past, embrace them by the context of their hearts"
Embrace people by the context of their hearts.
Embrace people by the context of their hearts.
"The magic comes when other people feel and see your optimism and excitement about your project, which makes similar circuits in their brain resonate to yours. If they have the time, energy, and mutual interest, they will be neurologically inclined to join forces with you, or at least support you and give you helpful advice.
The longer you focus (i.e. meditate) on your goal, the more real it begins to feel, and if you stay focused long enough, you'll alter the neural circuitry in your brain.

* Life Mission - Provide Comfort *
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

* Friend's Sermon Notes *
Passion is your commitment to never quit. At the end we want our Father to say, "Well done good and faithful servant"....you cannot please God without walking into darkness and that means walking by faith....(Matthew 26)...everything you do has to be out of obedience....i'm going to do what God says and walk by faith...passionate about what God has given....love your enemies while they are in the very act of attacking you...they cannot stop the plan of God unless you are obedient...living with passion means voluntarily walking into situations that cause pain..(Hebrews 12)....many people live to avoid pain...when pain comes into my life it will produce patience and righteousness in my life...what God wants to do in you and through you....100% of the time, there is a blessing on the other side....(John 18:12)....it's not about us doing what we want to do....God will give you supernatural power for a specific reason, and when you don't use it...God will not bless you...(Matthew 25-God is the bomb!)
* Real Transformation *
If we have been made alive in Christ we will manifest new hearts and tongues. Until then, playing church is like a dead man trying to act alive.
But when Jesus saves us, newness rolls in!
"I was a hypocrite, who was not told I was dead, I was just told to "do". Moralism does not makes you new."

Pain can only feed on pain. Pain cannot feed on joy. It finds it quite indigestible.

New King James Version (NKJV)
Humility Cures Worldliness
7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.Monday, May 12, 2014

* Vulnerability with God *
"I've been trying to read 5 Psalms a day lately (if you read five you'll get through the whole book every month. I've missed a few though so maybe 40 days for me lol) and I've been ridiculously struck with just how candid David is. The transparency, the vulnerability, the angst. One psalm he's lamenting, one he's praising, and sometimes he's doing both in the very same psalm! They read like a cry from the depths. Reminded me we don't need to talk formally to God like an eternal professor. If we have Jesus we have the Spirit that can cry abba (daddy). Pour out your heart before [Him]. Every morning let him fully in. No hiding. In the rawness, that's when grace really starts to flood in."

* More Blessed to Give than Receive *
Written by a dear friend in Christ.
----
December 26th 2010.
I believe you first need to learn how to receive to truly know how to give.
It is indeed humbling to be dependant. In order to receive you have to come to a place where you can’t do it on your own. Your ability to freely receive dictates your ability to freely give. It takes humility to receive the gift of Jesus. The gift of a savior. In order to do so you first need to confess your need for a savior. That you can no longer save yourself.
I think some of the most lonely people in this world have lost their ability to receive. Love, help, etc. They are hardened. If you can’t receive, how can you give? We have only what God has given to us, what we’ve received from Him to give. We have not accumulated or obtained these things on our own. It’s all a gift. Life is a gift.
Throughout this trip, I have been completely dependent on God to provide… but I really needed to learn how to receive. It’s much easier to do things on our own. But receiving takes humility. Countless people have joined hands with me through prayer, or have offered a hand through opening the doors of their home, opening their wallets, or by giving me one of their possessions to meet my area of need. I can tell you one thing- the majority of these people were strangers. Strangers that are now my co-workers; my friends; my family. And some, I may never see again on this earth.
There has been so much love shown to me. And to think- I would have missed out had I chosen to throw in the towel and not go- or had I chosen to give up prematurely- to quit.
It has not by any means been “easy”. That’s not even a question. It has required perseverance even through apparent failures. Even through feelings of rejection at times- which by the way- are all lies from satan.
Many times I faced doubt, insecurity, rivalry, pain- but in those times, I had to choose to fix my thoughts on things above. Whatever is pure, noble, trustworthy, good, TRUE. I had to meditate on God’s word that says, “ I will never fail you, I will never abandon you” (Hebrews).
I suppose the message that I am trying to get across to you today is that we NEED God. We NEED each other. If we are able to receive from God, to rest in His arms, to receive His love, His provision, His comfort, His words, His commands, His truth.. And if we are able to receive from others.. Then we will be better equipped and prepared to give- love, provision, comfort, truth.
From traveling, so many people that I’ve met- Christians and Non-Christians alike- have said, “Someone once did this for me, so I want to do it for you. When we learn to receive, we learn to give.
This trip has taught me so much about the importance of hospitality and generosity through the times when I was humbled and in need.
It is our responsibility as believers because we have freely received, to freely give. But we must first learn how to receive so that we actually have something to give.
We need to stop trying to do things on our own, STOP, and receive strength from God. Receive the gifts that God has freely given us. Receive His promises for our lives. Receive His love.
Wow. Why is it more difficult for us to receive?
Because it takes humility. We need to NEED God. We need Him to fill us- so that we can pour out.
I want to be a receiver, so that I can be a giver.
After all, it is more blessed to give than to receive.
